But eventually nothing seems that bad anymore.

At that point, Bernard seemed like the bravest guy I had ever met. Not only did he curse, ultimately condemning himself to an eternity of hellfire, but he also said it about our mom.

That relief of breaking the rules and getting away with it was the most freeing. That wave of relief after all that had happened.

I was the complete opposite of Bernard. I’d constantly hide. I was so afraid of going to hell that, out of fear of potentially accidentally taking the lord’s name in vain, I’d always say G-O-D instead of God.

And in the end I approve of cursing.

Relationships with my dad have always been strained (he's not a bad guy...just not a father figure), and more than once I found myself crying due to the more insensitive things he said/did. But my sister would just start doing this mocking parody of his actions and it was alllll better.

Sometimes I feel guilty because well, he's my dad and respect for elders has been instilled in me since I was born, but now I just go "fuck it".

@Kavanomo: Haha, I see. Our dad's action end up making Miriam and Connor cry, it's just small things. What your sister does sounds like a good idea.

I hear you, I hear you. Well, it's up to you how you want to feel towards your dad, haha.
