Well, at least I learned the multiplication table a couple years earlier than the other kids.

@ShagunLagoon: Ah, it's not that bad.

That's good.

I'm with connor and miriam on this one.. hehe.

you played in the closet? must've been a big closet if it could fit three kids. I remember wanting to play in my parents closet when I was really young but they would just get angry with me.

Ooooh man I remember my mom drilling the multiplication tables into me.
It was a horrifying experience when I was 9, but now it's something I look back on and laugh at.
Haha too bad mom, I still use a calculator to do my multiplication.

same thing with me
only thing that sucks is that even till now i can recite everything as quickly as i can manage to speak in vietnamese, but in english, it just takes me a tiny bit longer to process the words gee
kinda contradictory to everything considering that i grew up speaking the language here more fluently too

and as for that stupid wooden hand thing, my dad just always sat there scratching his back with it as i stood faced against the wall for not finishing my food or somethin

@kavanomo: Haha. I try to avoid a calculator just to prove to myself that I still can. But really, if it's there, why not?

@guest: Haha. I'm actually the same way with number. I memorize phone number in Vietnamese so it takes me a while to translate. Connor told me why numbers in other languages is easier than it is in English at times.

Like how in Vietnamese, 11 is ten-one when you say it. Mua-mot, but in English it's a different word and that actually makes a difference when it comes to processing math.

I don't really get it but it sounds interesting.

Hahaha. Those back scratchers... yeah.
