This is Brad uploading for David.

You guys should ask about me more so David has to draw it.

Here's a message from David:

Hey, guys. I hope you're enjoying this high res image from my phone. You might have heard of the power outage through parts of Virginia that I'm a part of right now. I don't know when I'll be back, they actually considered this a state of emergency.

Right now Miriam and I are in Northern Virginia house watching for our mother. Well, when I come back I'll draw a comic of what I've been doing up here all month and then I'll get back to answering questions.

Sorry about this, folks. Man, now I can't work from home anymore.

I demand more Brad! He is a sexy beast and should get more screen time! XD

This is one sexily resolute image.

Hope you and Miriam don't die of boredom, Mister David (:

Power outrage??? Nooooooooooes! TAT;
At least you guys are enjoying the beautiful stars, unlike me who'd probably forget and only cry over the lack of Internet. =w=;;;

Thanks Brad for uploading this for David! <3 I wouldn't mind seeing you have more screen time, if David is up to it! ^w^
Oh! If it's not too personal for you to answer Brad, I was wondering what made you figure out that you were bisexual?
Some of my friends are bisexual or are bi-curious. I'm straight, so I always try to learn from my friends' experiences on when they found out and how they reacted/dealt with their sexuality. Some of the stuff I hear doesn't make sense sometimes. For example, one of my male friends lost their girlfriend because she assumed bisexual = cheater! ]:< Hopefully you never have to deal with crap like that!

If the question's too personal, sorry, Brad! OxO;;;

bummer about the power outage! but aah, the stars are nice when they come out~
there's so much light pollution these days.. I'm glad I can go to my home town way up north from time to time, not as much there and sometimes you can even catch a sight of the northern lights~ but during the summer the sun is up.. oh, I can check what it is at now. we've went past when it is up the longest just a bit ago so we are going for longer nights but now it goes up at 02:33 and down 22:52. that's pretty sweet :3

edit: oh yeah, brad! you should invite david & co over for a bbq dinner or something so we can see you and your place more ;D

Oh, I am visiting Washington D.C and the same thing happened to my neighborhood also. The news here said it was a thunderstorm and that it knocked out a lot of power (some newstations say it was a tornado..?)
I don't see how it is an extreme emergency, though. If you have some canned food, transportation (or you can walk) and some cash on you im sure people can survive. In D.C though some people are going so crazy this old man killed this little girl for her mcdonalds since his fridge wasn't working. So dumb.
I would feel weird if I asked a question, since David was all busy and stuff with the questions and just now finished I don't want to make him even more busy or something...but hey Brad, so your a graphic designer right? I want to become one when I grow up, and I was wondering if you get a lot of work or if it pays well :o Do you have fun doing it? Does it fit in with your daily life? Gah, boring question. You don't have to answer it if you don't want to, I dont want to be a hassle or something. Be careful out there with little power, stay out all day until you feel sleepy then go home-so that you don't get too hot in your house, and visit bookstores and fast food places-they have air condition and wifi. You probably already know all that stuff...but good luck!

Haha, sounds bad. I actually like power outages sometimes because they let my eyes rest from all the numerous hours I spend on computer. ^^;

No question for Brad at the moment (XD) but I'll be sure to post one when I think of it.

Well I'm not exactly sure whether I like or dislike power outages, but it is nice when the house is quiet for once.
Oh, hi Brad!

Hello Brad! ^^
what? I didn't say anything!

justea (Guest) July 3rd, 2012, 10:14 pm

brad, can YOU grow a beard??

hello (Guest) July 6th, 2012, 12:48 am

I live in the southern part of Virginia and this power outages have been awful. Can't wait til your next comic.

mikemacdee July 6th, 2012, 2:45 am

@ice---tea: "I don't see how it is an extreme emergency, though."

You haven't been to the Twilight Zone. Pretty soon their neighbors will become paranoid and violent and start calling each other commie rats. Then when they've all killed each other, the aliens move in and take over.

daviddoesntgetit July 6th, 2012, 11:48 pm

@IEatTacosForDinner: Hahaha. This is image is loseless, 1000000dpi. Only the best for you guys.

@mavi: Nah, I was upset over the lack of internet video too. Couldn't watch internet videos, haha.

Ugh. I'll draw more Brad. Brad didn't think to check back for comments so I'll get all these questions together for him but yes, something similar has happened to Brad, haha. He'll explain it more.

@jonasfx: Oh, definitely. There's usually a ton of light pollution here. In fact, no matter the time of day, there seems to be a glow surrounding northern Virginia, haha. You can see about three stars here, haha.

Ooo, longer nights. Haha, Brad can't cook worth shit, still. Let's see if he's up for it.

@ice-tea: A tornado, huh? I heard it was the biggest, non-hurricane storm to hit the area so who knows.

As for extreme emergency, I'd agree with you on that. However some people live in high rise apartments and without power means there's no A/C so some people ended up having to find shelter at a local school. Must be rough for them.

Wow, some old man killed a girl? As dumb as that is, people's panic mode is like that. I still remember that story of the Cubans who were stranded in a boat for two hours and had already managed to kill someone. Or eat someone, either ways...

Oh, I know this question is for Brad, I'll still give it to him but mind if I answer some of it? Brad isn't a graphic designer, he's an architect, haha. Either ways, quite a noble endeavor.

I'm sorry to say but the art field is difficult no matter what. Graphic design does give you more opportunities for jobs than, say, a painter because it is considered commercial work so there'll be studios or companies to hire you and actually my major was the most secure job wise, haha.

As for paying well... no dice. Why? Because people don't think artists should get paid. Non-artists don't see the value and will often try to find excuses to not pay you, i.e. "If you love art, why would you want to be paid for it?"

A site I enjoy. http://clientsfromhell.net/

Don't let it scare you off though! Let's just say... I make less than my dad who never graduated high school, haha.

Haha, thank you for all the advice, I'll keep them in mind for next time.

@hoshi.neko: Haha, that's a good way of looking at it. I feel that way too since my job requires me to look at a computer screen and then I do it again for leisure. Jesus. I need other hobbies.

@hello: Oh, yeah. Heard there were power outages, especially in Richmond. Hope things turned out ok for you.

@mikemacdee: Hahahahaha. Man, The Twilight Zone is fantastic.
