Almost didn't get this done in time 'cause Miriam kept bothering me. On another note I can't reply right now. Impromptu family vacation this weekend for my dad's side. This is my summer. Vacations all the time. I am. So tired. Hahaha.

I know I said I'd draw about kids but I was thinking about it and thought I'd draw this instead. Maybe next time.

One of mine and Bernard's favorite activities as a kit was doing laundry with her, especially sheets. 'Cause we'd start at one end and she the other then we'd run towards her.

I'm not an avid reader but I read a fair amount of comic books which my stepmom was completely against. Once she took them and tore them pieces, a lot of them too.

And Bernard and I did try to run away from home once, we didn't get very far, hahaha.

Ugh. Too busy, I gotta go rest up for the drive tomorrow. I'll see you guys.

not to endorse any BL daydreams but it's funny how brad answered that question from amy as if speaking for his partner haha

but it's true, you have a nice little family for the mo┬┤with miriam and connor :)

hope the drive goes well!

I know this is probably going to sound odd, but I kinda just wanted to say thank you. I mean... because I'm asexual as well and... well I didn't realize it until I was nearly out of high school, but I cause me a bit of distress because I thought there was something wrong with me. When I finally figured out that I wasn't sick or dying, just asexual, I didn't... I couldn't tell anyone. I could be making a big deal out of nothing, but people who didn't date when they hit middle school, at the earliest, were made fun of heavily in my community. I even made up a boyfriend so that they wouldn't think I was a freak.
I could care less about their opinions now that I'm older, but to hear people constantly tell me that "You'll find the right guy" or "You don't know what you really want yet" just kinda... it begins to get tired quickly.
And then I read your comic and I thought "Hey, I'm not alone." And I know it sounds stupid and I know you weren't out to inspire people or anything... but... it made me feel less like a freak. So thank you.

And sorry for dropping my life story on you!

School starts tomorrow... DX

This comic page is so cute and heartwarming. You and Bernard look so cute as little kids, and I can relate to your laundry experiences. My brother and I loved to fold blankets and sheets when we were younger because we just had to walk toward each other. c:

In the summer, my family used to lay mattresses out on the floor in one room to save money on air conditioning. I was reminded of my experiences when you mentioned how you guys slept at the beach house, haha. Your comic is always a blast from the past. XD

It's nice to know that you have friends like Amy and Brad, David! They seem like really genuine and kind individuals.

@jonasfx: What in the hell.

But yeah, it's a good thing Miriam doesn't have any plans on moving out soon. Haha.

Man, the drive was the worst, the worst traffic. I cannot understand why they are repaving the roads all the time.

@Elivier: Wow, hey. That's quite a story.

Man, I'm sorry that you feel pressured about having to find someone all the time, you'll be deflecting those comments for a while too, haha. Explaining I'm asexual to one person just made them think I wasn't that sexually active.

Haha. I'm glad the comic made you feel better and I hope you don't feel so down in the future. It's really just a pain in the ass, hahaha.

Ah, no worries, no worries. I love reading comments, haha.

@hoshi.neko: Hahaha, glad to know someone can share in our laundry folding experience.

Haha. I'm the type of person that doesn't keep acquaintances so I know the ones that stick around are gonna stay around.

Some of my favorite pages are of the stories about you and Bernard as children. Reading about how the two of your wanted to run away from your stepmother reminded me of how I used to want the same as a kid. Seeing Bernard trying to support and protect you brought a smile to my face, because it reminded me of how my sisters try to do the same for me--and I, for them.
While I like learning about the different sides to your father, it was refreshing to know more about your mother this time. How she allowed her boys to stay up all night... was extremely sweet of her. *Soft smile*

@Odd1out: Haha, wow. That's really neat we share an experience but that's really neat.

Glad you like the stories with me and Bernard. Wish I had more time to hang out with him but he does have a pretty crazy job.

Ah, yeah. I should draw our mom more. I admit having less memories of her than our dad but she's still a complex subject in our lives, haha.
