By "speaking to young people", I'm including you guys. Haha, I'm kidding. None of you have been as aggravating as any of these people illustrated. Is this the kinda stuff people talk about when they care about nothing?

On another note, I think Connor's gonna grow as tall as me soon. I am pretty angry about it.

I sometimes think about adopting kids. Then I think, "What if I adopt a kid like Christina?" Christina is the type of girl who got to go to Vietnam, and when I asked her about her trip, she just replied, "It's so smelly there. I don't get why you guys like it so much. GOD, it's just soooo smelly." Could I still love them? 'Cause Christina's parents are pretty smart. But then again, she is also pretty spoiled, haha.

I guess I could very easily be the disappointed Asian dad stereotype.

Oh man...

...I'm SO turning the 2nd and 3rd panel on row 3 into a meme. It's practically begging to be made.

@alterminat: Haha. I'm sure it already exists as another form somewhere out there.

You can adopt me David. I'm 19 and have a full time job and I don't live at home... So really, you get a child adult that you don't have to take care of but you can still say you have a kid!

@daviddoesntgetit: That is true my brother all of a sudden gets a growth spurt and is already 2-5 inches taller than me(5.8) so, basically he 6.3 inches. Yes you would be the disappointed dad type and that girl surprises me but then there is almost nothing that has not happened in this world.

"i don't wanna hear about your gross life! but i support you still!" this sums up how i feel about a lot of things beautifully.

Nice thought

Well, if you adopted kids that would be young you wouldnt face any problems since you would probably raise them properly. Adoption is a nice thought considering the prosperity of driffting apart from your siblings as time passes. C'est la vie, finalement.

Ahaha; it's kind of endearing how excited Christina looks in bottom row, panel 4.

Do you think you're the type of person to spoil their kids?

Everyone likes to think of how they will raise kids, even if they don't intend to have one. I guess it has the same fun of thinking what you would be like as a teacher, or president, or rich person, or something.

@jovialMagician: Haha. The whole point of this comic is I do not want someone your age, I'm sorry. I like kids. Also, I already have Miriam and Connor so I'm set on people your age, haha.

@Sunset*: Ah. Usually you write measurements like this. 6'3" '=feet "=inches.

6.3 inches is saying he's six point three inches, or in fractions, he's 6 3/10 inches. He sounds tall, a lot taller than me.

@Helix_luco: Wow, really? So that's how you feel, huh? That's kind've a shitty thing to do, man.

Hey, I support you, but I think you're gross so in actuality, I don't accept you at all and now you feel ostracized and you think you're gross.

Hey, great support!

@Titi: Haha, well, you gotta think about the nature vs. nurture factor, y'know? How much of intelligence is inherited and how much is taught? And I highly doubt I can raise them properly, haha.

Ah, y'know. You're right, they'll probably start leading their own lives soon. Miriam was recently telling me she was thinking of moving to California. Sigh. Well. Maybe I can also just get a dog.

@hyeonmu: Haha, I know she was waiting for us to be blown away but I couldn't even muster the energy to fake it.

Uh. Would I spoil them? Probably not, haha. I actually tend to be stricter, Bernard's more the type to spoil them. I guess between the two of us, we got the bases covered.

@cstar: Sure, I guess everyone like to think that, except for those that hate kids. Haha.

Well, of course. Daydreaming is fun until reality comes back to bite you in the ass.

@daviddoesntgetit: Damn, well it's okay! I have a lot of family as it is. Who needs an adoptive parent ;___; not this guy!

Helix_luco July 9th, 2013, 7:34 pm

@daviddoesntgetit: i wasn't thinking about it that way, it's just that i don't necessarily have to like what someone's doing in order to support their actions, i don't really want to have very many intimate personal connections at all, so as long as people aren't being hurt i'd rather not get involved with or hear about certain aspects of other people's lives. i'd rather keep my distance and maintain an attitude of vague benevolence toward people in general

@jovialMagician: Oh no, I'm sorry.

Y'know, I was reading about adult adoption where people get adopted in their 30s or later when they find someone they just really love as a parental figure after having a rough childhood. It always seemed really sweet.

So hey, if that's your situation, then ok! Fine! I'll adopt you.

@Helix_luco: Haha. Look, it's fine. I may not be a big fan of what you're doing but it doesn't mean you have to defend it to me. I understand why you do what you do, I'm just not into it and that's just about it.

More power to you for whatever it is you want to do with your life. It's fine, I understand wanting to keep your distance
