I am feeling extremely sick and it's not Brad's fault, for once. I'm so tired. Also, I left my sketchbook with all the comics I had planned somewhere so that's also great.

Miriam and Ajeet probably won't get married for another couple years, they said. I'm hoping once Miriam and Connor leave and I can start saving up money again, I can contribute money to both their weddings. Already saved some for Miriam's.

Of course I'm dreading the part where I buy the actual wedding gift. What should I get them, matching t-shirts with internet memes on them? A crisp five dollar bill? Whatever Tales game is released at the time?!

Give them matching "I am with my wife/husband" t-shirts hahaha.

Nah, but seriously, when my brother got married the gifs he and her wife apreciate the most were domestic stuff and money, you know, stuff to start with their live together. You could give them money and maybe a draw?

The 'crisp five dollar bill' bit made me laugh aha. Although nice new money is always strangely way nicer than the same exact bill, just old.

I can't even imagine what it'd be like trying to set up a one-religion wedding, let alone a wedding incorporating 3!

Yikes, at that point I'd start thinking about just eloping.

Dank memes on shirts, obviously. Or if they're moving into a place, or have a wedding gift registry, they'll probably just tell you what to buy. (You're also allowed to ask.)

IS MIRIAM ME?? I'm seriously the type like "okay you wanna get married, let's go to the courthouse. DONE!"

You said earlier that you give the worst gives but if your suggestions are any evidence you really give the best gifts.
"A crisp five dollar bill." That made me laugh.

you know, I re-read all of your comic- been following it for something over a year and a half.
But it's interesting, your drawings have changed their style and you're comments too. It's funny, cause you were the reason why I started drawing again. Granted, my art and stuff has gotten drastically more different since then, but I still enjoy seeing and even imitating your fun style.

I dunno- I looked back and started to feel like I should tell you this. So, thank you David- you really changed my life; met new friends because of this drawing thing that i picked up again.

haha, I like your style.

@Mio_Chouseki: No, you were right the first time. Those t-shirts are a fantastic idea.

I don't like drawing gifts. As for domestic stuff, they don't really have much intent of moving away from Stephanie and they don't really need shit. I'll figure it out.

Matching husband/wife shirts...

@SmallishBird: I hate it when new money sticks together and... I dunno. I was just trying to find a reason to be contrary.

Yeah. Our mom and dad got married with a Buddhist/Catholic ceremony. I was sure thankful I wasn't born for that.

@Reealt: I asked Miriam, she said video games. Then we went into a discussion of how they should be co-op based games to really give off that wedding feel.

I still like my meme shirt idea. How about some doge shirts?

@Dumah: Haha. Most of the people I meet don't seem interested in the marriage ceremony either, if they had to. I was telling a cousin about it and then he said all my friends and Miriam had mental disorders.

@cstar: Y'know what? You're right. I'll give them a nice stack of bills to roll around in. Maybe coins. I'm not that rich.

@abe: Yeah, it's kinda weird that my art has changed, I don't really draw much in my free time but I guess that's what happens when you try to draw a comic that updates multiple times a week... so that's neat.

Oh, wow, really? I'd love to see some of your art. The idea of anyone imitating my style's kinda strange to me, haha. I can't imagine why anyone would emulate it. If you don't feel comfortable showing me that's fine too.

Ah, wow. That made me go, "Awwww." I'm glad you've been having fun with art and I'm really glad that it's not just my story that can touch people. I've always felt pretty neutral about my art so I'm glad, haha.

@everyone: Sorry if my responses feel weird. I'm a little fucking drunk from my medicine and I get pretty excitable and jolly when I'm drunk and shit. Yep.

Haha, that's a great conversation. XD

And again, gifts are hard to figure out! D: I'd go for t-shirts? Or a quilt with a funny picture? Something that can be kept sentimentally but also isn't entirely useless! :D

[R]

daviddoesntgetit April 15th, 2015, 6:43 pm

@Oly-RRR: Haha. I don't think anyone would appreciate t-shirts as a gift for an occasion.

A quilt?! Like I can make that.

@roxjey: You like weddings?! You're- I've never met anyone that likes weddings. Though you are right, the cake is always awesome.

I am better now, thanks. I'm still light headed a lot but overall, less awful.

Oly-RRR April 18th, 2015, 11:29 am

@daviddoesntgetit: You could buy a quilt, there are all kinds of funny ones these days but yeah, I know even less about what makes a good wedding gift than you do. XD
